Children’s Ministry

Kids’ Discovery Church is a time for 5th–8th graders to grow in knowledge of God’s Word and love for Jesus. This quarter Kids’ Discovery Church will be using the Engage Bible study guide.  We will be learning about some of the Old Testament books of the Bible, the important people, events, and applications of the book. In the Engage student booklets we will be working through the book of Genesis.

There are two additional classes for children on Sunday mornings: Pre-K and Kindergarten (ages 4 and 5) and early elementary (Grades 1–4).

We also provide a nursery for infants to 3 years old. There is no instruction in the nursery, but toys and snack are provided.

Part of the way through the worship service, children are dismissed from the service to go with their teachers. Parents who are new are welcome to accompany their children to Kids’ Church or to keep their children with them in the service, if they choose.

Gospel

Our children’s classes use gospel-centered curriculum with scripture, stories, and activities to allow them opportunities to form spiritual friendships with their peers and teachers.

Every children’s volunteer at CCC is required to have been involved in the life of our church for at least six months and to submit and periodically renew a national background check.

What are the first two questions every parent asks their child when they get home from school or church? “What did you learn? Did you have fun?” We believe learning about Jesus should be as fun as possible for all kids when they come through our doors.
